Here is our list of the 10 longest bridges in the world.  This  list includes the cable stayed bridges. Some of the cable stayed bridges are much longer than suspension bridges. Keep in mind that this list can and will change as new bridges are built. Each and every one of these long bridges is incredible in their own way. The 10 longest bridges in the world are here.

On the most basic level, a bridge is a structure that carries a path across an obstacle such as a river. There are so many bridges around the world that it is amazing. The Golden Gate Bridge connects the City of San Francisco to the northern peninsula across the ’Golden Gate.’ The Strait of Messina Bridge in Sicily, Italy, is the bridge that has not been built yet. The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge is possibly the country of Japan’s greatest engineering accomplishment.
Humber Bridge took over 100 years from the time it first was discussed to its completion. The Great Belt Bridge is comprised of road suspension and a railway tunnel between Zealand and Sprogo. Jiangyin Bridge in China is about 1385 meters long and soars nearly 90 meters high. Tsing Ma Bridge in Hong Kong has the world’s longest road and rail span.
The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge once held the title of the world’s longest suspension bridge when it was first completed in 1964. The Hoga Kusten Bridge offers beautiful and breath taking views for all tourists. Finally, the Izmit Bay Bridge, located in Turkey, connects Instabul with the Southeastern coast of the Sea of Marmara.
